Wilcox 125 years ago. Now it is in its 41th edition,
this 41th edition details advances in the production

first edition appeared in 1875, shortly after an engineer named Stephen Wilcox applied hi knowledge of
water circulation theory to perfecting a new and safe
boiler concept. In 1867 Wilcox formed a partnership
with George H. Babcock and the present Babcock &
Wilcox company was incorporated.
