Ford & Fordson on Film Volume 4 DVD, The Ransomes Connection

For many years the Ford Tractor Company had a close working relationship with farm equipment manufacturer, Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies Ltd. The Ford Film Unit, in conjunction with Ransomes produced several films. `Good Ploughing' is the subject of the first two featuring the trusty Fordson Diesel Major and Ransomes plough. A wonderful film dedicated to the Ransomes 902 Combine Harvester follows, then a peek into the future with the Fordson Dexta in `Major gets a Workmate'. Lastly we glimpse a very unusual Diesel Major, this time fitted with an experimental hydrostatic transmission. Duration 80 mins
