First published in 1948. This handy book describes the general operation of the jet engine, and goes on to describe the construction of the ram jet engine. The RamJet is probably the simplest of all jet engines to manufacture. It does not have very many moving parts, nor does it suffer from the problem of very high speed moving parts in a turbine jet engine. There is also a description of some of the models that this type of engine can be fitted to.
