Volume 1 covers a Biography, Reminiscences and the early articles of this remarkable man who devoted his life to photographing the large steam mill engines of the UK.
From 1923 up until the 1980s he took some 10,000 photos at some 1,500 different sites. Many of these photos have been made into magnificent pictures books that show the mill engines of the UK in magnificent clarity.
George had a passion for steam power, and if you have ever seen any of his photos, you would want to know more about the man who took them.
