The Steam Crane Reclamation Project.
For most people the Marshalls Era at Gainsborough was at its heyday from the mid 1800's until the late 1950's. This documentary covers the final era as the Britannia Works is under demolition and the reclamation of a Steam Crane from a central structure gets underway.
The Overhead Steam Crane was originally installed at the Britannia Site in the early 1900's as one of several - to cope with the rise in production of boilers experienced within is period.
The crane was put into storage to be restored for the newly proposed Marshalls Heritage Centre to be based at Gainsborough.
