The agricultural contractors are already working for biogas plants to produce fermentation substrates. Sugar beets must be sown and potatoes planted. Soil cultivation for the corn fields is also required. Soft ground and a wet spring make things difficult for the drivers.

Large-scale Krone combine harvesters and New Holland and Claas forage harvesters are shown working to cut the grasslands for the first time. The highlights out in the fields include the 524 HP Claas Xerion 5000 and the Agco Challenger caterpillar tractor.

This third part of the DVD collection takes you on a tour through the Bavarian grassland farms, to see forestry machinery in Hesse and to the arable farms of northern Germany. Combine harvesters with cutter bars up to 12 metres in width harvest the fields, followed by baling machines. The stubble is dealt with by large John Deere articulated tractors, among other machinery.
