'SAGA to Steam - The Story of NG/G16-129' is the latest publication from Puffing Billy Preservation Society, published to celebrate the release into traffic of this South African Garratt locomotive on the Puffing Billy Railway. The locomotive was purchased from South Africa in 1996 and restored by staff and volunteers over a lengthy period.

This soft cover book of 24 pages has many photographs taken during the restoration and during trials, and these support the text that covers the history of Garratt locomotives, the fundraising appeal and the restoration project. A great team effort.
